Askennonia is an Ouendat greeting that conveys peace, wholeness and well being.

The club size varies with the time of year from 8 to 20 coming out weekly. Carvers of all levels and interest make up the group and help each other learn, improve and expand their carving skills.

The club was started by Fred Howard in 1987. Fred led the group until his passing in 2008. Brian Dent has acted as convener of the group since then.
